Jason Masters appointed as Independent Chair of Audit and Risk Committees for ICAC (NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption), Health Care Complaints Commission and the NSW Ombudsman

It is with pleasure that we announce that following Jason Masters appointment to the Prequalified Panel for Audit and Risk Committees in NSW that he has accepted the role as Independent Chair of the Audit and Risk Committees for the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), the Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) and the NSW Ombudsman.
Jason Masters stated that "the NSW Treasury Policy is a significant step to improve the overall governance and risk management strategies for NSW Government Departments and Agencies and he is honoured and will work closely with his fellow committee members with this small but vitally important agencies in NSW to be leaders in the implementation of the Treasury Policy. Jason Masters appointed as an Independent Member of the Wyong Shire Governance Committee

Jason Masters continues to provide thought leadership in the area of IT Governance. As one of the first persons to be accredited with the CGEIT certifiecation (Certifed in the Governance of Enterprise IT) in the Oceania Region, this lecture built upon prrior work and introduces update on the COSCO Monitoring draft, ISO38500 Standard on ITGovernance.

Jason Masters provided an innovative speach at the ISACA Oceania CACS conference in Auckland today.
The concept presented was that the IT profession has developed a significant number of elements to its Governance and is considerably ahead of many other parts of the business sector. IT Auditors and the IT profession can "De-IT" the language of COBIT, ITIL and other governance tools and provide a standard and proven governance language across the entire business.
